I'm off too. After having spent around 5k in the last couple of month on servicing / suspension repairs / new wheels & tyres I cant live with the constant fear of the turbo/ engine/ anything else crapping itself

This is the reason I would never buy one without the LR approved warranty.Im on my 5th sport plus a few FFRR & it hasn't cost me a penny in all the time ive had them, ive not had many problems with them but when I have they have been put right with the waaranty,I haven't even put a set of brake pads on one yet,,as soon as they are out of warranty I trade them in.

I bet it has cost you a fortune when you have traded them in though... Big Cry

My thoughts exactly. The losses every time you change must be quite large. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I've had 2 previous RRS's over 5 years ago, these had LR warranty (1 being a new HST), both had issues which LR could not resolve which was really disappointing as the HST was a lovely car. I change my cars every 12 months usually and have had more issues with one RRS than I have had with all the cars I've had in the last 10 years.

They're lovely when they work but I cant enjoy a car that sits for 9 months of the year then breaks when I pop out to get some milk. I had a new shape Landcruiser V8 for the last couple of years at work, spent 50% of its time offroad getting hammering, all its needed is brakes, tyres and servicing, this is what I'll be going to if I feel the need for a 4x4 again

They do seem to do better when they're used rather than left standing for long periods. Seems like a lot of money to leave it standing on the drive looking pretty. Mine get used daily (100+ miles / day) and certainly isn't pretty these days. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
