Received the survey today and spent a lot of time completing it in detail. Very good timing because the car is a year old next week and is going in for 1st service. I had all the quality issues fresh in my mind as I had put on the list of things for dealer to look at not too long ago. If they go through my responses they are going to hate me Laughing Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Love to know what the items are on your list , perhaps I have missed some. My only issue is the park sensors and the rattle in the rear. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Nothing that is uncommon or not been discussed here:

- Sagging seat leather
- Flaking rear brake calliper paint
- Squeeky brakes at low speed and light braking
- Slow system clock
- Auto parking aid turning off and needs to be enabled everytime the car is switched on

None of these are critical or take the enjoyment away from driving the car which is why I waited until service time. Not expected on a vehicle of this value though. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Interestingly I have the rattle in the rear too.. It's quite muted but there. Very difficult to hear when I am at the dealers on the smooth roads that surround them. I have had the rear left side carpet off to see if I could find it but no luck. Fixed a couple of things that I thought it might be but hasn't fixed it.
Sounds likes it comes from rear left. RRS P460e
1983 2 door Range Rover ARB Bar X9000 winch ARB Rear Bar now semi retired.
Many big trips done in this one.
1982 Rangerover nearly restored.
22 Defender D250 with lots of stuff for outback touring
Nice 2013 Freelander TD4 manual (for daughter to learn on) with much better stereo compared with previous SD4 SE with Meridian which sounded bad!
2013 Land Rover Defender ute.

I have fixed poor dash assembly alignment, rattles, plastic creaks myself and it exposed poor quality and loose fixings.
It made me look closer at the overall alignment of the doors, including the rear and I have up to 10mm mis alignments, the back door the worst.
Have the issue of the parking sensors rebuffed after catching the spoiler, rebuffed on paintwork, awaiting leather seat sagging but had a new engine and turbos under warranty which is now running OK and an earlier oil change.
I feel really let down and as others, somewhat disgusted at LR attitudes when spending a lot of money for an overpriced car.
I am looking at Volvo and Porche for quality and value, albeit the L494 style looks good, for now. I do not go off road in my L494 as I did in the rugged D4 chassis, the flexing and creaks you get just from the roof indicates that the aluminium chassis will not last if I did.
Not recd a LR survey and I would not bother to fill it in either, because of having little faith in any response - I feel that the good LR dealers are frustrated too!
I have been loyal too long and four new cars so divorce looks inevitable, unless this excellent forum offer some miracle guidance.

Yes it fits.
Reminds me of my Fathers first new car 40 years ago, a Dolomite. After 4 weeks it was rusting, quality issues and then the engine failed, no rectifications by the dealer. Had a great time continually fixing it for him though but he was so let down.
40 years on and I feel the same LR, or is it LEYLAND ROVER?

A Bit of Light Hearted LR/RR Quality - A Bit More

I like his comment if your thinking about buying a used Range Rover - don't.

When I bought mine new I took out the extended 5 year warranty - it cost around $5,000. It was money well spent. Landrover have spent over $20,000 in warranty repairs post my initial 3 year factory warranty and they are still fixing issues under warranty after the 5 years are over (currenty 5 years and nine months). It has been at the transmission specialist for the last 2 weeks for them to work out where the drive train shunt is coming from (after 3 years of trying to fix it). After that it goes back to the dealer to have the airconditioning compressor replaced again under warranty (this is no. 4 replacement) and the battery charging system being checked again for its lack of ability to charge the battery.

But as they guy on Youtube says - the cars great I love it.
