Slow speed chugging/misfiring on 3.0 SDV6 2014 A/B RRS

Had 3 occasions in last 2 days at steady 30 and 40 mph in auto and the drive is chugging/misfiring but no alarm fault evident. It is fine at higher speeds and accelerating. Any ideas thanks B4 I trouble LRA?

It is not misfiring but auto gear changing up/down and back with steady throttle at 40mph, maybe a control system point with low load?

Mine did that.

Fix was; remove the Petrol from the diesel tank.

No petrol in thankfully, although I have had suspect fills of diesel quality.
In Sport it does not happen, only in auto under min load and steady speed around 40 mph - must be hunting in the auto gear change point?

Could be that being in Sport stops the 'box going into too high a gear - I find mine tries to do that on occasion, and then I get the driveline vibration/shunting as if I as in manual car in top at 15mph.

Well, OK, maybe not quite that bad, but the same issue at it's root.

So, maybe the next time yours does it, paddle it down a gear and see if it clears? MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Another lead for you. Saw a very similar problem on a jag forum (same engine and gearbox). Problem lay in a faulty brake pedal switch. Worth getting that checked out. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
