I haven't done it yet but I have been having a look at the kits for sale. Some seem to have precut replacement sills and some kits require you to cut your own ones yourself

I got some off ebay that were pre-cut and ime no mechanic but keen on diy got my socket set out and found they were really easy to fit, so my advice is have a go and save a few quid good luck Darbs |

I'm not particularly good with technical stuff, but like Wings, I bought a set off ebay for our D4 and fitted them without any issue. It's easier if you have a second set of hands to help, but very straightforward. I had to cut the sills on the D4, but even that was very easy with them pre-marked out in the plastic.
