I'm looking to replace my standard rear number plate, which is ~ 110mm high, with a bigger plate that fits a little more snugly into place. DVLA showed me a list of places nearby and unfortunately they don't supply this format, well one of them does but they don't have the GB badge and I want this badge.

I've been there Jaggs but according to their plate creator there is a gap between the badge background and the plate edge. Take a look at what they're showing me: however this is what I want: Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project. DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights. TO DO: color code sills and pillars. |

Same there Col, the badge background doesn't extend to the plate edge. Maybe you can confirm for me by checking your number plate? I'm pretty sure I haven't needed to send logbook copies for any of the plates I have ordered from the UK suppliers either.

It's a choice of mine and I consider myself to be a rational decision maker. Your comment is offensive. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project. Apologies if I offended, I just thought it rather unusual that anyone would be particularly fussed about keeping their dealer name on a number plate. |

In the UK there is strict legal sizes for Lettering and typeface on number plates and they have to be made by an approved centre etc. There is a fine for wrong size and if noticed watch out at MOT time. Illegal spacing of letters to make up names or words is also illegal. Be careful out there. John

mine was changed the day after buying, there's no way I'm giving ANY dealer free advertising... Always remove window stickers and give the bairns the keyrings etc. to play with Each to their own 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine 14MY Range Rover Evoque Dynamic SD4 Black Pack - wife's 99MY Defender 90 TD5, Soft Top Conversion - my toy, and bairns favourite |

You don't have to have a dealer name on the Number Plate, but the name of the Company that produced the plates has to be printed on the plate (bottom centre) and Standard to which it was produced (BS AU 145d) must be printed at the bottom right corner of the plates for them to be legal - as per Johnski's note above. The latest ANPR cameras will pick up even minor deviations in the standard Number Plate and you can get a notification in the post of the discrepancies and the action required to remedy them.
