Module is jammed. Strip and adjusted needed, but will not cure your noise.

Diagnostics can sometimes unjam it, but more often than not, it needs to be done manually

Thumbs Up

You don't need to replace the module. Unless you fancy being relieved of best part of £1k Shocked

Not likely to be related to your HDC fault either...

I have exactly the same problem here, I have the squeal and flashing parking brake light on the dash! I also had a message on the LCD saying "parking break problem" or words to that effect...how did you manage to sort it?

I get that message every morning. Battery needs a good charge. After driving to Scotland for the weekend it was fine for a week. I get brake fault and the radio and sat Nav go on and off for good 10 seconds. Tried new battery and still the same. Have learned to live with it.

My message actually reads "Park Brake Fault System not functional".

I have stripped down the rear breaks and found the rear shoe had broken down, ordered the bits today, will fit tomorrow and adjust EPB and hope that solves my problem... Will post my findings tomorrow.
