Hi guys, got in my rrs this morning and there is a loud tapping sound coming from engine, I think it's the top.

Anyone any idea's what it might be.

Hello Panda, thanks for the reply. I'have a mechanic coming around today. But what I've been told up to now is that the bottom end has gone, But If the mechanic doesn't know what it is I'll get a recording for you. Thanks.

Thanks for your help Panda. It's in the workshop now being stripped down, think It's bottom end gone. It sounds like the top but there is a deeper sound from down below. If it needs a recon engine that's another 6 bags up in the air, not good but has to be done.
