Hi Zilchy and 2R

I haven't been on here for a while, since I have no recent RRS experience, little to contribute and all LR products now look like an Ewok, which I don't like, I thought it was time to move on. But it's nice to see 2 old timers again.

Shame you didn't get the 996 Zilch, they look good. The inexorable move to 4 cylinder turbo engines, even in Porkers is tragic, they just aren't the same as a 6 or 8. 2R, do you still have the Holden?

I have a bit of a collection at the moment. I have my 2015 M3 which is a "princess" car and only comes out when it's not raining to keep it in top condition (and clean LOL) My wife says I love it more than I love her, I told her yes, but don't worry about it.

Since it rains in winter and we go to the beach in the summer, I have an old Subaru I use as a daily runaround and for when we go swimming at the beach, boat duty, guests to drive etc. My 80 year old parents visit from the UK each year. This year, they teamed up with some old UK mates who now live in Adelaide. They drove the old Subaru for 1500 km around the South of WA and the old thing didn't miss a beat. It's the cheapest motoring I have ever had.

I saw a cheap 2005 Merc CLK 320 convertible on a small used car lot the other day. With only 70,000km and in great condition, I thought I would have it to drive in the summer, put 5-10k on it and move it on for not far off what I paid for it. It's a one owner and a lovely old car. Maybe a bit "hairdresser" but It still looks quite flash! Mrs BKHK is emotionally attached to her Mini so no changes there. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

lol! so BK you treat your M3 like you treated your RRS! That never came out of the garage in Sorrento unless it was guaranteed not to rain for 4 consequent days. Rolling with laughter What happened to the X1 and the Postie bike?

I'm back in the LR stable; I'd post a pick but I recall its not easy on this site.

2R, which model LR are you driving now?

Yes, you are right about my OCD disease:rolllaugh: Some things don't change Laughing

I never had an X1, I had an X5 then an X6, both good cars but then BMW invited me to a track day, M3s and M4s. That was it, I fell out of love with all things Diesel. I love the instant response of the M3 and its bark.

Tomorrow, no rain so the M3 will get the short commute to work and back, it never fails to make one smile as the back just flicks when you want it to! I must be careful, I only have 6 points left until next year.

If you are ever in Perth, let me know, curry will be on me. Mrs BKHK says hi. Thumbs Up Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

Its a Vogue TDV8 - very opulent, and lots of toys! Twisted Evil

X1 and X6 they're all the same hairdressers cars BK! Whistle

Zilch, I'd sell; think of the depreciation and the ground up rebuild you will have to do to free up all the seized parts! lol Laughing Or are you planning on leaving it there for 30 years and claiming it as a "barn find"?! Rolling with laughter

I guess the Vogue TDV8 suits your advancing years 2R. The V8 is nice except being diesel. Obviously you haven't had your petrol head mid life crisis sports car phase yet. It's coming soon Laughing Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

ah the full fat, now you have arrived at a certain juncture in life Whistle Laughing as for selling the Sport, well i was going to,
but she who must be obeyed insisted we keep it.. only here for 3 years, so it will be a bush basher at the end day when
we get back, its all set up for it..and the stealers would not give me much for it with the bar/winch/snorkel etc fitted,
they want it original Laughing Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
