Transmission whine on slowing down?

Whine noise ("Voov voov voov") when coming off throttle from around 15mph usually before braking for a turn. Been there since I bought it but not sure if normal. MY2012. 8 speed sdv6. 40K miles.
Doesn't do it all the time and it doesn't sound "nasty" but does sounds transmission related.
Under warranty so will probably chuck it back to dealer....
Appreciate any thoughts Thumbs Up Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Funny that - I have exactly the same - thought I was imagining it. It's the second 12MY I've had & it definitely didn't do it on my 61 plate. It's booked in for a health check on the 30/8 - will ask them to investigate then. It also seems to do it more when turning left Big Cry 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
