Can you be sure they were genuine and not Chinese counterfeits? Try contacting Mintex technical department? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

In all honesty, I have had genuine LR brake pads fade under spirited driving in a TDV8.

Nope they've not really got any better. I'm sure its probably due to the sheer size of the vehicle though, however whatever pads were on before (even what little there was left of them) seemed to be more fade resistant.

I had M1144 on a hot Pug years ago and they would get hot enough to smoke yet still work. Be amazed if Mintex forgot how to make pads. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
