Headlight not raising even after replacement

Hello all,

Mt drivers side headlight hasn't risen on startup for a while, I think I made a thread on here and I was told that the only option was to replace the whole unit. I bought a new unit from Ebay and this seems to raise on startup but when I'm driving it appears to be hitting the road shortly in front of the car and not where you would imagine a headlight to focus.

So either I'm going a bit mad or I expect the lights to act like normal headlights and for some reason they don't.

I took a pic last night, not the best I know but you can see that the headlight shines to the floor, any idea what is causing this as surely 2 units can't be at fault?

I'll ask the obvious but have you adjusted the alignment for the new lamp?

Cheers

It's not as obvious as you think as I didn't even know you could, I thought they were self levelling. So how do I do that? Laughing
