S65 AMG..

Someone just requested finance on an S65 AMG.. and its actually blown my socks off at how cheap someone could buy, what is for all intents and purposes the fastest 4 door vehicle available right now!

S65 AMG, retails at over £140k new. Only a handful released in RHD.
Over 600 bhp pumping via a supercharged V12 Bi Turbo engine. Basically in year one, they depreciate SAVAGELY.. meaning the multi millionaire purchaser, usually disposes of it, as its no longer the latest toy, leaving it to retail at £70-80k with little miles.

Over 5 years, the standard book balloons for this car are: £40k from new, which can be uplifted by 30% on standard balanced payments deals, with the lowest rate available (6.75% ish APR due to the amount being borrowed) effectively means subject to the personal circumstance of the applicant, this monster car, can be had for around £800 - £900 per month with £0 deposit!! un****ing believable!

only worrying thing, is it does: about 20mpg extra urban, and about 12 urban, so this would have to be a casual driver car i reckon.. bloody quick though! thats if u can accelerate the thing without keeping the traction light on up till 4th gear that is!

You can buy a house for that!! Laughing

One hell of a car for £800/month though. Think of the fuel bills though... eek.

oh and.. the new shapes now out.. so the savage depreciation will probably leave u in massive negative equity in year one.. but saying that, someone who could get this finance, would probably have adequate investment vehicles to cover the neg equity no problems..

was going to say the same thing!!! haha.. wonder what kind of noise they make.. Jay i guess its similar to your SL.. but slightly quicker off the mark.. would love to test drive one, but there are hardly any about..

Or a cheaper alternative maybe just to get the S55 AMG and just get some badges off ebay? visually look the same apart from the wheels... but i would love to see an S55 and an S65 drag racing, jsut to see the difference they make..

If i ever got that drag race thing arranged, Jay i know someone on another forum who has an S65 AMG so we could have raced that against yours and see where the other £50k on list goes on!!
