Sorry to ask as ive searched high and low but still can not get a definitive answer.
My 2010 RRS 3.0 diesel needs its belts doing soon, can this be done like the 2.7 without body coming off?
If not any recommendations of local Indie near bham/Worcester/Redditch/Bromsgrove area?
Do I have to rob a bank to pay for this as well

It can be done without body removal, but I'll be if I know how

It's one of those jobs where you would struggle on in a day without lifting the body, but can easily be down in a day by lifting the body...

.....and yes, dependant on where you go Independant £1,000 or LR service centres, much higher, you may well need a loan or small mortgage increase to pay for it, dependant on your personal situation Why they couldn't have used chain I don't know.

What's your mileage? I wouldn't have thought due yet on a 2010 year car. Generally at 105,000 miles or 7-8 years old  John

Im at 96k so getting ready for it............

Just done some more googling and found Stafford range rover are doing the change for £669 inc vat
which don't seem out the way for a land rover dealer......

Might be worth getting it done early before they change the price !

Check it's still valid price, if it is bite their hands off at that price, and don't hang around.  John

Just rang Lister Droitwich LR and look at there price......
For the cam belt change the service will be £1344 inc VAT
They couldn't believe the price I told them and thought it was a mistake.
As you can imagine ive booked it in for £669
Asked if they do a price match but it was a No No........

Of course you will have to pay a little extra to get your serpentine belt changed as well with its tensioner. 07MY RRS TDV6

That is indeed a very keen price, but check it includes the idler pulleys for the front belt, and aux belt

There should be no extra labour to replace, just cost of parts

Just spoke to them again as you lot are getting me worried

And they have confirmed includes all idler pulleys for the front belt, and aux belt

I also had my cam belt and the 105 service for £670 last year. I had been quoted in excess of £1500 by my local Land Rover dealer. I just asked them if they would price match Stratstones price, which they did without any query.

Even my local independent that I would normally use could not match Stratstones price. They also changed the front and rear belts with all new tensioners etc.

If in doubt just ask if they price match, what have you got to loose!!

Well its a 40 minuet drive but worth every penny in the savings, my local indie was £790 + vat
Tried landrover Solihull but wouldn't price match either said that is the land rover price?

For reference, I have a 3.0 D4 coming in Sept, for a service and belts

It will be the first set of 3.0 belts I have done that didn't require the body lifted for any other remedial work at the same time.

I quoted £650 inc VAT for the belts, tensioners + idlers. and see how we get on labour-wise
