Strange one. This may not be as bad as it appears. An engine seizure is pretty catastrophic but can't imagine this without any warning sounds. Await outcome with interest, sorry can't help anymore.

Service at L/R so assume gen parts fitted ? Have heard of issues with oi filters not fitted correctly can lead to engine failure, but as above would expect plenty of noise before.
Other thought is has the pump belt snapped, though the car is low mileage it is due belts change as now 7 years old..
Could also be a fuel pump fault, would recommend having the fault codes read. Cutting out as you describe sound like fuel or electrical.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Does the engine turn over when trying to start it?

I would expect something like this on a high miler and maybe not looked after this is neither just crazy I just wonder if LR did anything wrong. They want the car back to inspect it so that's £360 to get it up to them to start with, I just carnt get me head around a serviced car with such low miles giving out if it has.

Don't you have breakdown recovery? It's a must have owning a RRS. If so, won't they recover it to the LR garage for you?

I'm sure yours isn't the first to go pop at such low mileage. Hope you get it sorted one way or another with minimal cost to yourself.

That's why I mentioned checking the oil filter is not either faulty or a cheap brand or has been fitted incorrectly which causes a loss of oil pressure. I think it was DM who has mensioned it in the past and I think someone posted a TB up from LR about it.. Though it might of been on the D3 site where I saw it.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current
