Electronic parking brake warning

Yesterday whilst washing and polishing my 2007 Tdv8 sport I had the radio playing for approx 3 hours.
When I had finished and came to park it up I noticed a warning flashed up on the dash display saying auto parking brake release inoperative.
The parking brake is working ok from the switch and there are no warning triangle lit up on the dash.
Is this just the driveway function or could it be due to the car battery being a bit low on charge even though the car started ok. ??
Any info would be appreciated.
