Hi guys

Recently had a wynns gearbox flush, solved all running issues and the car drove like a dream

Now 6000 miles later , the revs are fluctuating and vibrating/ juddering at 40mp and 60mph

Now what ? Let me guess torque converter ? Has anyone had the same? What is a cost approx of changing the TQ supplied and fitted

I had a similar issue a few thousand miles after having mine flushed. There wasn't any previous issues with the gearbox, I did it as preventative maintenance but it was around 109k. It ended up with a re conditioned gearbox and torque converter from Martin Lowe transmissions at Barnsley..... There car park and workshop was rammed with jaguar and land rovers

Wow this sounds horrible

all from a preventative measure aswell. The saying ' ain't broke don't fix it' comes right to mind there but how horrible is it when you were trying to do the right thing by the car or any future owners to get it flushed !
This judder... could you reset the gearbox adaptation ?I saw on the diagnostic tool an option for that... but not fully sure what it does in detail

It won't have been caused by the flush itself. The damage will have been done beforehand, and the flush may or may not have caused it to show itself now, but ultimately the damage was done before (unless, of course, there was something wrong with the flush).

It may be that only a TC is required (typically £1-1.5k) but it could be a full recon (£2k upwards). What mileage are we talking? Is the box still shifting smoothly? Fault codes may be stored if the box has issues.

Do not reset the gearbox adaptations at this point - it can do more harm than good.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I would drain the transmission oil, then add two tubes of Dr Tranny, and top the oil up. Cost about £60 and is likely to at least delay the inevitable torque converter change. Bodsys Brake Bible

Just to be clear, I accept that the flush didn't cause my gearbox failure. I'd still recommend a gearbox flush to people but urge them to do it sooner rather than later.
