Not heard of it - that is a definite fault, needs dealer attention. A clutch is not re-engaging in the torque convertor as it should IIRC. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I have had something similar to this happen twice in 4 months. Always in traffic....... Such a panic I did not have enough focus to look at the symptoms. Pretty sure that last time it happened I just powered down and started in the normal manner. Not enough information to really be able to take it to dealer. TBH I assumed I had done something wrong. Current: MY15 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Aruba Gold, HUD, Meridian 1700w

Does the gear indicator on the dash flash when it happens? Mine did this twice, a while ago, and also happens on a few other cars I know of. Happens I think when you try and drive off just at the same time the stop/start kicks in. |

I must admit I did not look at the dash, I was in too much of a panic with everyone hooting at me to get moving!! The indicator on the lever was a solid amber showing drive. Moving the lever several times did not help.

This happened a few times on my FFRR. Gear knob flashed and had to move it to N then back to D. Hasn't happened on the Sport yet though |
