I run my own business and it's a thankless job so if you can afford it keep it Thumbs Up

Andy is spot on - staff go home and relax after work and weekends but as an employer you're always working even when on holiday assuming you manage to get time off that is Bow down

I'd buy a cheaper vehicle for work and keep the SVR at home for holidays and weekends Wink Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

What are holidays Muddywheels.?,,my mechanic goes on holiday Monday for 10 days but it bet he won't be thinking about or worried how the business is going while he is sunning it up.
I've got a van for going to work in & only use the sport at weekends.

Don't feel guilty, it's just as likely that one of your employees has pinched the contract from you and will take some of your staff when he setts up on his own .
Just out of interest what's your dealers view on a buy back or sell the vehicle for you it might give us a better idea of the true second hand svr market.

The contract was only lost due to the company expanding and doing the work 'in house'.

I've no idea on the true value of the SVR, just reading on the forum that large discounts are becoming available? I was offered various prices from low 90's to 100k. I am going to keep it for now so I guess it's all irrelevant Mr. Green 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

Sorry to hear of your dilemma ...not nice.

Not sure if this will help or not. If it was a contract that you had and the staff you employed were spending more than 50% of their time dedicated to that customer then TUPE would apply and the staff have the right to transfer to the new contract owner. Any redundancy costs would be the responsibility of the company owning the contract and normally the incoming supplier carries that cost.

If you hadn't started trading yet and lost it pre contract, then that's another issue.

Only you know if its the right thing to do. If you are just worried about the image of the car then I'd be thick skinned and keep the SVR as its not like the money you get recoup will be used to pay their salaries.
