If you're going to buy the "Land Rover" Extended Warranty then you don't need to talk to a dealer at all - you just contact the warranty provider. It's done by a third party (Car Care Plan). If you're going straight from the manufacturer's warranty period then you don't need an inspection although they might want evidence of the servicing record.

So LR use a third party warranty when you extend your LR warranty via Car Care??? Cheers Laurence. |

Looks almost too full to me! Mine's never that full, it's more 3/4s on the gauge.

Can you extend it past five years warranty, as long as it is under this time limit when your LR warranty runs out, or you start a new one before 5 years old and under 100,000 miles. Does anyone know? John

You can extend the warranty until the vehicle has 100k miles or is 10 years old. These milestones are only at the day of renewal so if it's 99,999miles or 9 years 364 days old on the day you renew you're OK for that year. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Many thanks for that, I feel at the cost of parts a Warranty is required unless you have a bottomless bank account. John

I ran LR's extended warranty until my RRS went through the 100k barrier and they declined to cover it anymore. Now I "self-warranty". It can be painful at times... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
