Removable tow electrics

hi, can any one point me in the direction of a towbar electrics fitting guide, (if there is one) I've just purchased a 2006 hse that has a removable Towbar and the electrics are in a box in the boot 😋 if tried searching forum and got some info ie its plug and play (maybe need software update) but can't seem to find how to guide.

You mean the electric's are unfitted ?

You don't need to program on your early model.

Remove Left rear light
Remove bumper
Spare wheel out.
Fit electrics
Remove passenger side boot trim.

I did mine myself. Quite simple (although I did have the use of a ramp). I didn't need any software update.

I seem to have 1 extra wire on my wiring loom, I've circled the wire in red (actual loom) and also circled diagram loom were extra wire is located. Any ideas what/were its for.

Is it a blue/white spade connection ?

Not seen that before. Maybe it's to power the cars fog lights. Bit of a guess.

Some cars disable the cars rear fog lights when a trailer is connected to stop reflection off a white caravan

It's blue/yellow spade end, yes slightly baffled, Everything the same as on diagram instructions thet Brutus provided but just got the extra blue/yellow. May be why the wiring kit was still in the box and not fitted.

Is it a 13 pin kit? Single 7 pin or twin ?

Does the wire surface at the trailer socket ?

I would just fit it. You can't go too far wrong on the early models. Whistle

BINGO. I found the instructions, It's optional reverse. So if I want to use it there should be a spade end somewere to connect it too. (Maybe, hopefully, ha. )
