If the bar itself is leaking then, yes, it needs to be replaced. You can fix the seals where the pipes join the bar but that's it. It is a body "lift" at the rear rather than a full removal. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Looks like the bar given it dumped out the majority of the oil in such a short space of time.
