Seems Land-rover can't get the owners manual right either. Mine says tank under front Bonnet on LHS fender. There is a lug there and when removed no tank. Question is where is the Ad-blue tank. Ad-blue cost 20 pence per litre in Australia, Land Rover probably wants ten times that because they think all owners are dumb smucks that have brought the vehicle for the brand name.

Well I have an owners manual that says I do have DEF , shows location of filler and gives info on levels and what to do. Trouble is there is no filler under my bonnet. Very frustrating . I know I can ask the dealer which I will but I have searched the WEB and every site like this and nobody seems to know. What is more concerning is it doesn't seem important that one could be stranded if this stuff runs out. Most likely the majority of RRS buyers are just driving for the pose effect but I need my vehicle to be reliable on long trips , I'll be up for service before 6 months of ownership at current rates and I don't fancy having to get my car trucked a thousand miles to a dealer if I run out of Adblue. No sign in menu only shows when next service is due on my car. I have V8 diesel with DPF so how else would the filter be cleaned ? Perhaps it is different and the V8 doesn't have Adblue even though the manual says I do ?? M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |

The dpf filter is something totally different and been around for years - it ignites and burns when needed to remove particulates

IRBails... It may be that your car was just pre Adblue. Why don't you ring your dealer and ask them? Re the DPF my 2008 TDV8 RRS had that so its been around for years.I have a friend who bought a Landcruiser earlier this year and it was the last that didn't need Adblue. By the way he wants the seats out of my RRS cause he finds the Landcruiser ones so uncomfortable!

2016 SDV8 maybe but why all the info and brochure about the environment and Adblue. I won't be upset if my car does not require, I am just surprised that I have an owners manual and brochure telling me I need to keep an eye on the Adblue?? Also no other board members have said the SVD8 does not use ?? Anyway I'll ask a dealer and then share the answer we will all be a little wiser.

I'll look at Topix am registered. I will be well pleased if I don't have Adblue, and it sure looks like I don't. Led astray by thinking the info in the owners package was to taken seriously.
