From my understanding the hawkeye system is made more for Shops and independent technicians however, the IIDTool is in my opinion, better. It's a small plugin that only requires your phone and the app..... The Hawkeye system is cumbersome and not as portable. Also, I'm pretty sure that the IIDTool can do anything the Hawkeye can do, ifnot more. |

Thanks for the replies, just looking at the IIdtool it seems more advanced. Hawkeys works fine but maybe its getting a bit dated now? |

Kind of useless to check though since you have an RRS. For our cars the IIDTool is way better and more portable. I have the BT version and I love it! I don't know where it is right now because it's so small and easy to lose but I love it. |

As I stated earlier I only know the IID BT unit and I can fully vouch that this is a great bit of kit. It is small, easy to use, you can download manual etc, if you don't have a iPad or equivalent Android unit you can use your phone or even the controls on the car steering wheel, and view on the display there. I would advise anyone before purchasing to check what it can do (most things) and have the need of one as at £400 for the Bluetooth version, it is a lot of money, thoroughly worth it IMHO, but the things you can use it for and to check everything, can also save you a lot of money very quickly. It is locked to one vehicle, but can be registered for others if you pay a fee.
