Kumho tyres vs hankook.

Hi anyone had the kumho hp91 cruger tyres fitted to their RRS. 275/45/20.
Been reviewing the hankook ventus st rho6 which quite a few of members have had fitted and now I can't decide between the two makes.
Any advice/comments would be appreciated.

When i bought my RRS last year they came fitted with hankook's. i've managed to do around 20k miles on them although one tyre blew out on the motorway and one had a with a damaged wall. i've got mixed feelings about them and replaced mine with Pirellis

The age of the tyre when you purchased the car can make a world of difference, especially re sidewall damage. If the car has clipped a kerb etc, this can damage tyre, also look out for cracking on sidewall, a sure sign it needs replacing, often due to age and storage conditions. Date of manufacture is given on sidewall of all tyres now. John

When I bought my first 2010 RRS it came shod with new Kumho tyres on 20" rims- I just didn't notice at first I presumed that they would be Pirelli- it was a dealer to dealer transfer so I didn't get long to look at it before driving away.

In any event, I would rate the Kumhos quite well- road noise was worthy of no comment because of the noise deadening of the car trim, they lasted 40k on mostly motorway miles and they wore evenly.

My pirellis just wore out on my current SDV6 at 30k and I have replaced them with Kumho Crugens and the drives great

Can't comment on Hankooks but I believe that they have been fitted as standard figment on some BMW models so they must be good

The choice remains your though

Reecy

My RRS came with a set of new Hankook Ventus's, really pleased with them, so far they should seem to handle brilliantly in the wet, and very quiet as well

I've just changed my Hankooks they were worn out after 80,000 kms, they are excellent tyres, quiet, excellent grip in the wet and I consider long lasting, I ran then at 40 psi all round 2012 RRS. Orkney Grey

Hankooks have come a long way lately and are getting some good reviews. They are now factory fit on a lot of Audi's and Hankook have developed the tyres for the new RS5 Coupe. 😉 If its not been Detailed, its not clean Very Happy
