Which tailgate facelift kit did you use and how did you rate it for quality and fit?

I got the Powerful UK Ltd Kit..

The kit and quality is good and I imagine they have invested a lot in it.. It came colour coded to my car which was great.

Bit the fit isnt the best, even the video on YouTube showing the install shows how bad the chrome strip fits to the top cover...

I'll have to keep playing with it..

Decided to install some LED DRL lights and replace the tired old 'Range Rover' logo on the front...

Here it is when i started:

Took the lights out (note the new black 'Range Rover' badges:

Forgot to take pics of the spraying of the grey internals lack.. This is when i was putting the lense part back together:

Black Internals instead of the silver and Grey:

Black internals and replaced the Yellow Reflectors with some clear diffuser and silver paper to make it reflect:

How did you get the lights apart so easily ? Do the bolts require removing first ?

Did you remove the orange reflector from the side ?

Hi Andy,

I used a heat gun to go round the edges and pull the lense away from the housing.

Which bolts are you refering to?

I bought the kit from 'Sparky' here on RRSPORT forum who provided all wiring, DRL controller and comprehensive installation instructions...

I tried an overheating hair dryer but the lense was stuck on well.

I wondered if any bolts needed removing, obviously not.

Get a heat gun from B&Q - once you do the first one, it will become easier....

Put some gloves on, heat a corner all the way round two sides, put the gun down and start pulling....

I do have a heat gun. I guess I was worried it might be too much.
