Front Camera's

Having taken off my front bumper yesterday on the Overfinch to sort out the niggles, that have been bothering me since purchase, when I started the engine up a warning message came up on the dash saying front camera disconnected!! Which surprised me as I didn't think the RRS had that option.
So can somebody please confirm that the wiring is all in place for front camera on a MY2013 L320? Best Regards
Tony

Tony,

If the car did have front cameras at some stage the wiring/connectors behind the Front Bumper are quite obvious and would be secured by the inner front parking sensors.

Alternatively look under the O/S Headlight from inside the Bonnet and you should see what would appear to be two coax type cables with a Green on one and a White plug on the other, or look under Passenger Seat and there will be a ECU module with five or six coax cable with a green, brown, purple, black and white plugs on them if I remember correctly.

Cheers
Col

Cheers Col, just took another look at the loose cables, PSB

Its the Red/Blue cable that was redundant and not connected to anything, what do you think? Best Regards

Hi Tony,

Certainly not Camera Cables. Think they are something to do with the Control Unit for the DRL running in the O/F Bumper, just had a look at my own un-fitted kit electrics and that is the same with a blanked off plug so would assume it is for some other option to be fitted, might be for something like side marker lamps as on NAS spec. cars.

Thanks Col, so when are you fitting your GTS kit? I managed to fix the loose lower grill and see why the OS fog lamp was loose. I need a new fog light as it was only secured by one lug Censored Censored And its a bank holiday so I can't get a replacement :blue:
As you said before, was rather surprised on the fixings behind the bumper, for the money I was expecting something a little more robust to say the least!! Best Regards

How was it easy? Must say if you ever had to deploy the spare wheel that would be a challenge due to that lower trim. But it is a good looking kit!! Best Regards
