Garmin GPS

I have a Garmin 6" GPS and it fits in really well in the dash cubby with no additional hardware.

As you can see I still have the power cable (bottom left) coming in front a power socket in the cabin.

I would like to punch a hole through the back of the cubby hole and take power direct from the fuse box or indirectly from the fuse box to a socket to be installed in the upper glove box. Preference is direct from the fuse box.

So where can I drill a hole in the rear of the dash cubby hole to get a cable down to the fuse box without impacting anything behind the dash cubby hole.

Thanks

Can you hear the directions, as the speaker is located on the back of the gps unit?
Just wondering if you needed to fit another speaker to give you better volume.

Speaker volume is fine but I find it annoying and generally have it mute. 07MY RRS TDV6

if you do a search on here for how to remove Sat Nav unit, you will get instructions on how to remove all the surrounding panels. You can then work out where to place any holes and a route to the fusebox.
