Thanks Tim, though Lord camelrock if you please Laughing
It's at Crofton Hall near Carlisle. It's a caravan CL site, it is a family site but there where only 2 of us on. The dog loved it as it was almost like his own private garden.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

I came down for a colleague's retirement do and 60th birthday and also to visit Carbis Bay/ St Ives and St Erth where we used to live and to lay flowers on my grand parents' grave at Longstone Cemetery near Lelant as my father is getting too old to travel the distance now so the duty falls to No1 son when in the area.

Well worth the long trip south but I didn't do it all in a oner as I stopped overnight at Lancaster and I'll travel north to Lancaster and stop overnight there before continuing north. These days I get less enjoyment from long haul drives (even in an RRS so 6-7 hours drive at once is enough) on crowded motorways, and coming south the north bound carriage way of the M5 seemed to have an inordinate amount of stopped/ slow moving traffic in the roadworks so thought that if I were to loose two hours in that lot I would be totally shattered if I had to drive all the way north in one day.

Camelrock I can highly recommend the cream teas and the evening dinners are splendid - £50 pp for 3 courses excluding wine and coffees, although the portion sizes aren't exactly pub grub size, more Masterchef showing off size! You need to book though even for afternoon tea. The Manor is about 20 minutes drive from Okehampton and well worth a detour to. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
