No doubt this topic is a 'yawn yawn' for you guys but I've looked through the listings and can't find an answer to my question.
Do you have to remove any pipes, front prop, even lift an engine mounting to complete this task?
Just had my RRS into a dealer who's been mentioned on here (Based near York with a name the same as Audi's 4x4 system) for a mega flush as I was confident I had signs of a torque converter fault. Completed in record time plus £300 for the privilege. Completed almost 1000 miles with no improvement at all. Albeit early stages but Now at a very well respected automatic gearbox specialist who confirms my initial thoughts. So a new TC is being fitted. Can't see the point in waiting for the bang!

A megaflush only needs a couple of Pipes disconnected in order to be carried out,,, a torque converter would certainly need a few items removed I order to be replaced. If you were sure you had a faulty Tc a flush would not make any difference. 2010 RRS, TDV8

On the subject of mega flushes, how do you know when you need one? When the transmission isn't smooth anymore?

Manufacturers recommend a flush at 75k miles I think, best having it done before you notice any problems 2010 RRS, TDV8

Cool. It was done around that time. On 90,000 now, might get it done at 100,000 then. I hear the 75,000 interval is very optimistic.

I had mine done at 93k at the above garage

My RR had just started to display signs of a pending fault. Minor viabration through the car when pulling, predominantly on an incline between 40 -50 mph. From memory in 4th. Manually change up or down would see the viabration drastically reduce. Thought I may of just caught it in time. But no. Long shot I know. Should of known better. Rarely have I heard of an oil change curing a mechanical fault. So like some of the guys have stated. Get the oil changed early if you want to help avoid a potential fault / wear issue.
The only reason I initially asked the question was that the gearbox fluid which has just come out of the box is black.....if I hadn't of taken the car myself I wouldn't of believed it had only covered 1000 miles since a potential oil change.
I then looked while on my lift and thought, you need to take a few bits off to gain good access to the cooler pipes below and the gearbox sump shows no signs of ever been touched or the Bung with a Allen key. No way could all these parts have been removed in the timescale. Anyhow looks like you gain access to the pipes in the engine bay? Next time I'm down the workshop I'll take a good peek under the bonnet. (No filter replacement had been completed that's for sure) I personally would of thought a filter change would be standard practice and for £300, would of been included.
Anyhow it's being addressed. The love / hate relationship continues. Bloody thing!!
