I just had a conversion with somebody and he insists that it was a Ford Cobra engine, that's why I asked. |

I am 99% sure the V8 petrol engines (AJV8) are all made at Bridgend, - a large Ford Petrol engine factory. I believe some of the racing Jaguars in the USA have used the Ford V8 (i.e. cobra engine) in place of the AJV8, because it was an easier way to get a large capacity. I think the Aston Martin versions are assembled at Gaydon. |

Current V8 petrols are made at Bridgend and TDV6 and TDV8's are made in Dagenham by Ford for Jaguar and Land Rover |

Now I'm confused. All those engines are owned by Ford, but are the RR engines made by Jaguar or Ford (the parent company in the US.)
