If you already have the roof rails then would a roof box be big enough? I have the very large LR one that I used with my previous Evoque as the boot / rear wasn't big enough on occasion and I was amazed how little effect on the fuel consumption and wind noise it made. Mine is no longer required now I am back to RRS's. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks for the reply Tim, I've never been a fan of the roof box as I like the more rugged look of a rack. I'm not one to worry about fuel and just shovel it in.

I still haven't had a reply from the guy I know who has an Exped rack, it will be 6 years old now too....... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Ah, I've followed your scattered posts regarding a roof rack with interest, as I want one for exactly the same reasons, but I'll be if I'll pay 1200 (+VAT) for the G4 thingy.

Ok just got round to putting a few pics on, rack turned up so I unpacked it and partially put it together before trying it for size on the roof.
