Dog guard

Any advice on a dog guard that doesn't need a mortgage like the LR one would be very helpful.

Ideally easy to put in and out and fitted to the car to hold back a very slippery and inquisitive spaniel puppy.

Try CAB transit boxes.

Our Marketing Manager uses them for her dogs in an RRS and says they're brilliant, light and they can tailor completely.

If I didn't have the full height I'd be looking at this one:

Aaaarrgghhh! Would have been perfect...

Sorry, Whippetman, no "For Sale" threads were shown when I first searched for dog guards on the forum – I must have somehow reduced the search criteria without noticing as they all show up now – so went and ordered exactly this guard on Wed night for £114 and it was delivered yesterday. Especially annoying as I bet we only use it for a couple of months till the puppy learns his place. Hope you find another taker.

Probably too late now, but I bought the travail one over the land rover original. We have a land rover original on my wife's freelander 2, and frankly it was a pain in the bum! Not being able to fold the seats down and put larger items in the car without removing the dog guard entirely is just a pain. I distinctly remember being in John Lewis car park trying to load a TV in to the back and p*ssing about removing the dog guard in the rain so it would fit.

The travail one just blocks off the top part behind the seats and is therefore much more flexible. I've also found it's very sturdy. It keeps my wild setter / collie cross at bay so I'm sure a spaniel puppy would be no problem Smile
