United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey
Map and surround camera display

Hi,

Has anyone found a way to get the camera display to operate at a useable brightness level? Having spent the extra on surround cameras it is very disappointing to find the image is so dark it is virtually unusable. It has been in to the dealers for a number of issues and this was one of them which they claim to have resolved.

I will try again but I assume the standard dealer response of it being 'perfectly normal sir'

Any thoughts welcome.

Mac

Not having this issue and I use cameras a lot. when it's dark outside, kerb view doesn't show much but rear view works well with reversing lights.

I have exactly the same problem. The dealer response is that this is the same on all vehicles. I cannot personally believe it as my displays are verging on black and are positively dangerous. The junction view cameras seem to be affected the worst. I also get a very bad pink tinge to the picture. In the last couple of days I have tried the following: press the Valet button on the top left of the touch screen for circa 20 seconds, a hidden menu should be displayed. Most of the options appear to be read only. One option does allow for the setting of video offsets. I reset everything to zero and exited the application. I'm not sure if this actually does anything as the settings didn't seem to be fully retained. However, the junction cameras do seem to be better. I haven't had much chance to review in all lighting conditions but fingers crossed. I'd be interested to hear if this gives any improvement for others.
