Overfinch or not?

Hi I bought my first RRS a few weeks back from a garage in Blackburn really love the motor but not sure if it's a genuine overfinch as I never saw any overfinch certificate, the garage it self sells quite a few pimped up Range Rovers, perhaps they do it themselves, it has overfinch lettering back and front and oval badge on grille, it has autobiography badge on the back and on the quilted leather interior the log book has the letter ( a ) after the motor description, am just nor sure and don't know enough about these motors what do you guys think?

It wouldn't say in the log book if it was a O/F or not, if it was a Genuine A/B it would say in the Log Book AB.

Cheers
Col

Contact Overfinch with the VIN and they will tell you if they did any conversion and they will also tell you if there is a remap on the engine as that is one of their other sidelines...............then stand back and watch your insurance premium skyrocket when you tell the insurers that you have a modified car! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Think I might do that tim I assume you just give them the vin plate details as for engine mods I wouldn't declare that anyway, is that bad 🤔

I'm not convinced that it is a Overfinch, just something about it, I could be totally wrong of course, Embarassed but the things shown look to DIY.
You can check which as advised above would be the easiest way, a rolling road would tell you any remap or power modifications to.
What model have you insured it as? There is sure to be a extra premium and if remapped to........... Big Cry

On checking it shows insured as basic and the A does appear as automatic.

To be honest not sure what you actually have, it's certainly not a genuine A/B as it's a 06 plate car with a Facelift 2010-2013 A/B style body kit conversion fitted. Not sure O/F would do that unless someone paid them a lot of money to do it.

Cheers

That's one of the problems with cars modified but not always informed, the information the Insurance Company and any of the auto search companies (Compare the Market.com, Confused.com, etc) would only show as registered unfortunately. I wasn't trying to be rude about your vehicle in any way, other than it just doesn't look/sit right with me. If purchased as a Overfinch and it comes back as not being done, you may have some call back from seller. A genuine LR dealer I would think would know though. I hope I'm incorrect obviously, still a nice car, the interior looks clean to. Very Happy John

Didn't think you were being rude john at all, I asked the question so I expect honest opinions, myself I don't think it's a genuine overfinch although am happy with it and think it looks mint then again that's my opinion 😀
