Land Rover Reborn

Anyone got some spare cash Cool

Quote:
Looking for an immaculately restored and beautifully presented Land Rover Series 1? Then its time to pick up the phone to Land Rover itself, which is going to town on 25 hand-picked Series 1s and restoring them to absolute perfection.

The cars picked for revival have been chosen for their authenticity, and each will be totally stripped and rebuilt. The work will be carried out by the newly formed Land Rover Classic division, based in a dedicated workshop at Land Rovers Solihull plant.

The thing is, for me at least, that an old Landie should be an old Landie. Looking brand new like that just makes them look silly. They should look like they've been used, not sat in an air conditioned garage as an investment. Pah! Censored Censored 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I agree with the above, i like to see ware and tear on them, faded paint and a few character dings too. The head of commissioning at work has one and although its not a rotten shed it isnt a minter either. He loves it the way it is and i rather like the fact that he uses it offroad on club meets, throws the dogs in the back and even pressure washes the dirt out of it!

Being a JUE instead of a HUE it isnt that far behind as they didnt register many HUE at LR
