Help with fault

I have a 2007 RRS 2.7 td6. When I drive along, doesn't matter what speed, a fault will suddenly flash onto the dash board along with a beep saying suspension fault slow down. I can still drive but then shortly after a further fault will come up being either a HDC fault (don't know what that stands for) or it will say a transmission fault and put me into a low gear limp mode so I have to drive very slowly. The red height adjuster icon will flash on the tachometer part of the dash or sometimes it will stay on but not flashing. If I turn the engine off and back on it will sort the issue for a brief period. Also I noticed that if I pressed the height raising button it would raise at the print and then the back would struggle and feel jumpy as it rose. However I also noticed that after the faults occurred and I stopped and restarted the height had fallen back down.

What issues could I have? What are the possible fixes, costs and how long would it take to repair? The gearbox was refurbished last October and it pulls off fine so didn't think it would be a transmission issue? Any help and advice would be appreciated as this is my very first RRS.

Would suggest you get the fault codes read, but would get the steering angle senser recalibrated. Might be worth checking/replacing the brake light bulbs and switch.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current
