At most, it should be about half that, or less, depending on what needs doing. Many (most?) dealers don't have alignment equipment but will instead drive it to the local Kwik Fit, get them to do it, and charge you double the amount...

I wouldn't let kwik fit touch a car for alignment,,as LFW says, look for a local that uses the Hunter alingment system. With the RRS it's not just a case of couple the heads onto the wheel & away you go,,it needs setting up right.

My local tyre fitting garage couldn't seem to get the settings right and they have an expensive 4-wheel laser alignment machine. I went through 2 sets of rear tyres (bald on outside or inside edge) in 3 years.

i have a mate who is ex lr fitter and he said you need a body shop to do the job right and it takes about 2 hours also i am an ex fully trained tyre fitter and have used lazer light equipment and rrs are a pig you really do have to know what you are doing we would not touch them at our garage if thats any help but dont use q/fit they are rip off merchants we send two women in to 2 differant depots and they can out with huge lists of thing they needed for cars that where fully road worthy |

Just had my 4 wheel alignment done by a local body repair shop not know for their keen prices. They wanted £90 (incl VAT). The local stealership wanted £150 so I reckon the repair shop was good value. Seems to make sense that a body repair shop would have all the right equipment if their reason for being is to straighten out bent cars. Robin

Did TopMarks put the car into tight geometry mode to do the alignment?

Isn't that just a flashy name for Tight Tolerance Mode, just sound more Technical.
