Hill Descent light and traction fault

Hi everyone,

Newbie here but have been reading the very helpful posts for a long while.

Need your help on this one as its not one i can find anywhere!

Basically i parked my 2005 RRS and put the hazards on whilst popping into a shop and once started the green hill descent light came on and wouldnt go off so i decided to drive back home thinking its just a possible fuse fault but alas whilst driving the actual hill descent traction system was kicking in everytime i went down a slight hill on the road which scared the hell out of me Shocked
Any idea how to turn this off as the last thing i want is to take it in for a full diagnostic check and hefty bill after?

Has anyone ever had this?

Any response as to a solution would be very much appreciated

Many thanks

You have tried pressing the button to deselect HDC? Also, did you inadvertently select a Terrain Response programme? HDC has no link with the hazards, only the brake lights. It is a part of the fuse box in the engine bay so hopefully it's not a faulty HDC relay... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
