Sweden 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HST Java Black
Colourcode/Vinnumber, help wanted.

Hello there Guys.

Through a "mishap" in parkinggarage, I accidently
dented one of my doors.. Big Cry

I checked with my Insurancecompany, and it will be rather expensive..
(and a raised premium for some years..)

I checked breakers here in Sweden, and I found a
door in good order (as they say), in black.

My car is painted in Java Black, and I guess that there
are more than one nuance of black paint on LR:s palette.

Is it possible, from a VIN-number to see what colour the car was painted in?

The VIN on the "donor" is: SALLSAA147A984523.

If some here on the forum is privy to that information, I would be
very greatful, that would show me if that is the door I need or not.

Best regards from

The paint shade is also given on the VIN plate on the top of the radiator grill, it also give the paint code, IIRC for RRS1 it is also in the driver's door surround for right hand drive cars. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hello Tim.

Thank You for the tip.

They had a picture of the door, stripped, and by it self, so I guess that I won' t
be able to see the VIN-plate or body of the car.

But thankfully, the breakers on the site where I found the door,
always have the VIN-number and other data about the "donors"
