Good Deal

I've been looking at various RRS around Australai for a while now. I been offered numerous "deals" and would like to make the following observations.

Pre delivery in Melbourne is approximatley $900.00 although stamp duty is 4%
Pre Delivery in Qld is $3000 odd, and stamp duty is 2%. This leads me to the conclusion that LR dealers in the sunshine state are taking advantage of the lower stamp duty rates to increase their pre delivery fees. Thus the vehicles appear to be the same price nationally, where in fact they should be cheaper in states with lower stamp duty.

How does a TDV6 handle with dynamic stabilty and 20" alloys?

TDV6 with Dynamic Stability Control, sunroof, cherry wood and towpack $106500 on the road. Is that a good price?

Hmmm Confused

So that's about £43k in UK pound/sterling

To compare - would need to know which model/trim TDV6 you are looking at?

for example in the UK a top spec HSE with Dynamic pack & Logic 7 etc would cost approx £48,500

Nb. This would be an 07 model year

There are no model designations in Oz, they have it with D3 but nothing with RRS.

All models have leather, single CD players and climate control. They do not have rear parking sensors as standard. I think the spec is a bit basic given the price.

If you check the specs, the OZ model is a hybrid between the UK S and Se as a standard pack, and then you just add to it.

Peter that does not sound bad a deal from here, are you talking to both Alto and Trivett ?? Assume under the Corporate deal, delivery charges and everything else will be absorbed ?? Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Its Jap, German or Landies (the odd Korean upstart),

Landcruiser 100 with comparable kit is about 90K, the smaller version, Prado (bit of a urbanite machine) starts from 74K with about the same amount of toys on, other specs Prado's in the range much cheaper (around 50K).

Nissan, starts around 61k then add the options, gave up on the website

Beemer X5 about the same spec is 99K, based on the options below (about as common as fords in Essex in and around Sydney) Yes a potential CHAV candidate over here.

ML, 78K for the base 280 CDI, now add the toys, Low ratio (they call it an off-road pack) 8500 dollars, and other packs, gave up trying to work out the options Wink but most probably Censored lots more

UK specs are SO different...I'm in sales in Aus and am from Jersey originaly. Comparing the cars here to the cars there (with a friend in sales in Jersey) is impossible.
