Phil, I found it! And what a great post it was to find. I absolutely LOVE the blue contrast stitch! I will remember this on my next order! Have a great weekend! |

Nice little story there mate and what a fantastic car. Notice you used GS Stockport as I have been using them since 2007 and have had 4 new sports off them and been well looked after by Rod every time. 16 model year yulong white autobiography

It is a year ago today that I first sat behind the wheel of an SVR (actually THE SVR). Time doesn't half fly when you're having fun.

Today is my SVR's first birthday. To celebrate I'm allowed to show some more of the photographs taken of its birth.

Did you manage to get the 1st service "issues" sorted to your satisfaction Phill? My SDv6 had its 1st service yesterday, it was collected from my house with a possibility of not coming back before the Easter break (not a a problem and had been advised this could be the case because of a repair to the front bumper, I have a Defender to get me around as well as they RRS). The local dealership called at 3pm to ask if I would be home in the next 30 minutes as the work was all finished, paint job all done and the driver was waiting to leave the dealership to collect his company car from outside my house! The car is spotless and I don't know how they did it but the dealership has polished out the swirls on the D pillars (no cost to me!). BUT when I went out to look over the car it was locked and the wing mirrors were not folded. A couple of cycles of the reset procedure cured that but it makes me wonder how they managed to get them out of sync. Now I have to check the owners' manual as there is a free Castrol Edge Professional 5W/30 0.5ltr top up pack in the passenger footwell and I thought recent cars used 0W/30 lubrication........ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Not quite Tim. The trip with the passenger was a test drive with an apprentice in the passenger seat. The price I paid for the brakes was correct, the quote which was £50 less was wrong, but they are willing to remedy this. However, the paint has swirls, the D pillars are dreadful. These have not been touched with anything other than snow-foam and water until now (since they were sorted last April/May). Several other things that I noticed - being a little/lot OCD I had kept the leather-care tag attached to the seat belt holder arm tucked neatly down the side of the passenger seat, only to find this had been removed, screwed up and thrown into the glove box along with the service book (on top of the headphones and my glasses case). And not wanting the car washed is one thing, but that shouldn't stop them from using seat and carpet protectors. But judging by the mud on the carpet I think it did. |

Do you know if all SVR owners are given the opportunity to get the photos, if so that's another great reason to go for a SVR. I have done the Halewood factory tour when they built FL2, but RRS2 with its aluminium frame should be lot more interesting. |

I don't think so. My friends at SVO and JLR managed to work it so that my car was timed to go down the line one in front of the 6 millionth car and the press photographer was asked to include my car in some of the photographs. A one off, and another reason why my car is so special to me.

You can ask the LRE's at Halewood and Solihull to arrange photographs and to schedule your visit to see your car on the line. Unfortunately they don't guarantee that you WILL see your own car............... Maybe one similar. There is a special Autobiography service for L405 owners who can collect their car from the factory after a guided tour, but RRS/D4/Evoque and DiscoSport cannot sign up for the same deal 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just put the 'proper' wheels back on. Probably all in my little head, but the car feels better, if possibly with a little more tyre noise. Certainly looks better. |

Yes, pity we didn't have the weather this winter to allow the 21s to prove themselves. I do agreed the 22s look better. How long did the swap take Phil? Mark
