Mounting my iPad,can anyone give their thoughts to this idea

Hi guys

Been playing around with how to mount my iPad while driving for using music/sat nav and Siri. If you look at the attached pics it sits really nearly in front of the factory nav screen ,I just need to find a way to make it stay there while driving.

If the back folded up case part could somehow stick to the dash top that would do it. I thought about magnets of some sort or Velcro but want to keep it looking neat when the iPad isn't there.

I spend all day in the car and take the iPad out and into appointments around 6-8 times a day so it needs to be a easy to use system.

Has anyone any ideas ?

I purchased a phone mount from Amazon for my Camaro, the mount is inserted into the CD unit. They have larger on for iPad. Do a search on Amazon for "iPad car mounting". It holds my phone firm, and I use it as a GPS unit.

I think I would get an iPad mini or iPhone 6s Plus and use an air vent mount system with magnetic attachment (you stick the metal strip to the back of your device, or as I do, slide the metal into the device case. I use this for my iPhone 6s to pay music and use Google maps and it rocks.

This is because I cannot suggest a solution for holding an iPad in place over the front touch screen that would not leave velcro etc on display when you weren't using it or risk damaging the touch screen or leather. It would also frustrate me not being able to get to the cameras, music track information, and other functions, but that does not sound like a primary concern of yours.

If it HAS to be iPad then I would definitely do the CD holder idea instead of your current proposal. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Thanks for all the responses guys, think im going to go down the route of using a iphone 6 plus as has been suggested. Not sure if to go for the magnet/air vent style bracket or shell out for a wired in brodit one as it spends alot of time on charge and I dont like wires dangling around the dash.
