Buying brand new advice pls

Hi I've never had on but am thinking of buying my first. Didn't even contemplate brand new as people always say "looses thousands as you drive off forecourt" but I'm now thinking of doing this as finance seems reasonable.
Is the basic entry model worth buying? List price is £62k what discout should I expect. Any other advice please i.e do you think I should buy a one year old instead?
Just like to idea of it being brand new.
Cheers Nick

You can argue new, nearly new, second hand as much as you like,me erring has a budget and wish list.

The forum as well as people sharing a few highs will show you all the problems, and 90% of owners probably never look at the forum, so don't be put off, whichever variant for whichever reason, it will be a great car....

Just consider if you need / want a dynamic. !!!! It costs a bit more, but the specification is better, and not having it may make a huge difference, or you may not care, either way get some test drives there.

I would only buy brand new if you have very specific colour or specification must-haves. My car for instance in Nara / Arabica with surround cameras and sunroof was never going to appear on the used market within 12 months so I bought new.

Therefore, I would never buy a basic entry level car brand new. I'd rather take a save or spend the same and get a better spec 12 month old 1 owner vehicle. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

The answer to discount to be expected is Nil, Zero, zilch, none!! The best you can hope for is a free service plan and/or free subscription to In-Control and/or some rubber mats, but fundamentally that is it. LR dealers do not like doing cash discount deals.
