Engine oil

Evening all,
Can I supply my own engine oil and filter on a service at a main dealer , providing it's the reccommend oil as per owners manual?

No reason in principle why they should refuse but I bet they do. They make money on mark-up on the oil, for example. They'll probably claim that LR won't let them or some such other rubbish. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

You may ask, but the answer may be no. Guess what Chef Gordon Ramsay would say to you, when you ask him to cook your meal with your grocery. Changing oil is not hard, can you do it yourself.

No, but you won't have a full service history anymore which will affect your resale value.

I will say that cheap oil isn't always the best oil. Contact Opie Oils (site sponsor) they're really good, competitive prices and in my experience give good advice.

I've got an 06 SC and run Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5w30
