Radio freeze - battery drain

Hey guys! Wondering anyone can help, i was driving MY10 rrs hse 3.0 and all of a sudden the radio froze and was not allowing me to select different source and was stuck (pic attached) and when i turned off the engine the radio was still on and not allowing me to turn it off?! Also needed access to the boot and the tailgate wasnt opening - so nothing i could do! Left the car in my drive overnight and yup u guessed it - next morning battery drained!

Anyone had this experience??

I had a more minor electrical glitch once a few years ago where the Range Rover splash screen wouldn't turn off, even with engine running etc. But when I locked it and waited 1 or 10 minutes (I cannot remember now) it finally went off and the issue never returned.

I am not aware of what would cause the car to not enter sleep mode. Were you able to lock it last night with the radio on? Or did you have to sleep on the back seat with a shotgun across your lap? Confused L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Shotgun lol, yup the remote locking worked fine - but the tailgate wasnt opening and radio not turning off also no sound was coming from the radio - just stuck on the same screen which drained the battery Sad

I've got the same fault now. Took the battery off and waited a minute, put the lead back on and still stuck on the Range Rover screen.
Hope someone comes up with a fix soon

Sorry this is a bit old but...

I've had a flat battery again today and I decided to check everything was going off, I know there's a delay but after 10 mins the screen and radio display were both still on.

I found that if I started the engine, turned the radio on and then off then engine off it did the trick (although radio display stayed on but went off after the usual few mins.)

Electric trickery, glad I'm a plumber!

Hope this helps anyone.
