Seems high. I charge £500 inc fitting, using genuine arms...

Probably not so bad for Kent labour rates though, Mike... Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

That is genuine arms and also wheel alignment, first time I've ever had to have this done so not sure what the rate normally is. And I'm guessing it's better to use genuine arms ???

That is around the figure I was given to have mine done, by an independent in Kent (Gigglepin), which included a 4 wheel alignment.

Im now being told by my local garage that it may not be my arms that need replacing but it could be my ARB bushes they need changing, they want the car for a couple of hours to check

ARB bushes are cheap and easy to do. If you get the controls arms done, it's probably worth changing them to.

I would find a new garage, a couple of hours to do a 10 min job is taking the p*ss. I doubt it would take 2 hours to change all 4 bushes.

I changed my lower arms not long after buying my car, I bought a kit from Advanced Factors with SuperPro bushes already fitted. It cost a lot more than a normal set but they will last a lot longer, they do make the ride a bit sharper though.

I meant 10 mins to check the bushes, back ones can be replaced at 10 mins a side. I've not done the front ones, I looked and decided I would get my local indi to do it haha.
