Help! Dead passenger seat blocking glove box door

Hi, new joiner here, in a fix. I motored my passenger seat fully forward and fully upright to put a ladder in the back, and the seat is now dead. I can't swing the glovebox door down to access the fuse panel as the seat is in the way, and have tried to take apart the glove box door with the only two (torx head) screws I can see with no luck. Any ideas? The girlfriend's not exactly a big lass but definitely can't get in the seat, and might get too used to it if I ferry her around in the back! Thanks in advance for any help
