Do you think they have changed the policy wording since that claim? I was reading their coverage here and I had specifically noticed the intercooler exclusion when reading my own material:

TBH Guys, I reckon you get what you pay for. I've just shelled out for the LR warranty. Car is 4 years old. They will cover up to 10 years and 100k miles. Much less grief when things like the brake lines corrode and the body has to come off. Plus, not paying out first and claiming it back is a big bonus for me. WD actually wanted to charge me more than LR. Not sure if that's because mine's petrol though.

I've got the RAC policy too but it's been good for me so far - paid out 3 claims: 1. Crankshaft position sensor 2. intercooler pipe and knocking noise from front 3. low pressure fuel pump and sensor 100% paid for parts and labour - Sometimes can be the garage you use - mine through Saxtons 4x4 so always just go back to them and they get it sorted. |

You can't argue with that. You may be right about the garage. I know Saxtons but they're too far from me.

How much do you pay for a LR warranty? I will have 16 months to run on mine from buying an approved used. RRS is just over 4 yrs old with 14,000 on clock so hoping it will be offered to me at a reasonable rate for a few years Evoque HSE Dynamic

My warranty (rac - which came with the car, a 2012, when purchased) is due to run out in a couple of months & thinks about an extended warranty. But £1k/year!! Are these things that unreliable & expensive to fix? |
