Need a little help - im replacing my tread plates with the illuminated kind - instructions state I need to remove the passenger side footwell trim - it has the bonnet release lever on it - I've unscrewed it but it won't release

After you take the bonnet release handle off, there are just a couple of plastic clip that retain it just give it a gentle tug.

Hi Peachy,

Once you remove the small torx headed screw from the centre of the handle it should just pull off, may need a little wiggle, the handle that is.

By the way I thought you said not doing any mod's to this car.

Sound like the thread in the middle of the shaft may have stripped If I remember right it's only a brass insert, you could try pulling the handle off gently and unscrewing it at the same time.

Peachy...was thinking about the illuminated ones myself. Apart from your mentioned issue how has it been so far? Are they illuminated all the time or just when the doors open?

Couldn't rest - back outside for another 20 mins - all finished - looks the business

Illuminated when the doors are open or the interior lights are on to be honest Chris apart from the issue with the bonnet lever the rest was easy - 20 minutes a side
