Ireland 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red
Remove door latch

New on here after spending 2hrs trying to get door latch out. Everything is disconnected but can anyone tell me to get the lock unit out? Not enough room because window in the way. Drivers side door
Any info welcome

Hi You need to remove the window motor unit. Also you will need to secure the glass in the closed position. I used masking tape to hold it in position. Unclip the window, Undo all the bolts and it slides out once tilted. Once removed you will be able put your hand in to remove the latch. Takes about 45mins from removing door card to replacing.

Thanks for response. Will try again later.

Do you know if anyone has successfully repaired a door lock or am I better to replace with new? I have a mate pretty handy at electronics and I guess the lock is basically solenoids and circuits. Or is that over simplistic?
